Hawaii Literacy's mission is to empower Hawaii’s children and adults with essential reading, writing, and lifelong learning skills to strengthen themselves, families and communities.
We believe that literacy is at the core of having the opportunity for a better life, and that it is never too late for an adult to learn to read and write. We believe that well-trained and dedicated volunteers can successfully teach adults to read and write. We believe that parents are their children's first and best teachers, and that family support can help any parent, regardless of literacy level, help their child succeed. We believe that greater literacy builds stronger families and communities.

How To Give
Yule Store is an Anthology tradition to raise money for charity. This year we selected Hawaii Literacy. Here's some ways to help us reach our goals.

Anthology has a long tradition of giving back to the community, and the Yule Store is one of our favorite traditions.
2021 - The Pōpolo Project
The Pōpolo Project seeks to highlight the vivid, complex diversity of Blackness. Anthology raised $27,105.50 to aid in their mission to redefine what it means to be black in Hawaii and in the world.
2020 - Ho’ōla Nā Pua
Amidst the Covid-19 pandemic, Anthology raised $15,441.79 for Ho’ōla Nā Pua to aid in their continued mission to end sex trafficking and provide care for children who have been exploited.
2019 - RYSE
Since opening in 2018, RYSE (Residential Youth Services & Empowerment) has provided respite from the streets for 172 youth. In 2019, Anthology Marketing Group raised $12,050 for RYSE.
