The objective was to highlight Windward Mall's long-term commitment to local agriculture and small businesses, drive foot traffic, and reinforce its role as a central community gathering place beyond retail.

The Solution

Windward Mall and Kamehameha Schools developed an anniversary campaign to express gratitude to the community and showcase the market's success. The strategy involved sending a press release and targeted pitches to Honolulu media outlets a week before the event. The campaign secured live interviews on major broadcast stations and achieved significant reach across radio, social media, and digital channels. The campaign surpassed its goals, resulting in substantial media impressions, high social media engagement, and increased on-site sales for both market vendors and retail merchants.
