Data Coordinator


Position Summary:

The Research Data Coordinator will assist the VP of Research Operations in the execution of market research surveys, including maintaining databases, programming surveys and processing data. The Research Data Coordinator is an in-person position, based in our downtown Honolulu offices.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assists with building, testing and launching online surveys through Qualtrics, the global leader in digital survey technology.
  • Assists with database management, including using proprietary software.
  • Assists with preparing data files for analysis, including data processing and open-ended coding.
  • Assists with preparing randomly generated and database sourced sample for telephone and online surveys.
  • Assists with programming, management and software updates for Computer Aided Telephone Interviewing (CATI) system.
  • Supports field staff to help ensure projects are organized, efficient and cost effective.
  • Assists with quality assurance of program activities.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Strong ability to focus on accuracy, attention to detail, and timeliness.
  • Strong knowledge of Word and Excel or other spreadsheet software.
  • Strong curiosity and willingness to ask questions for clarity and understanding.

  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Ability to prioritize workload and manager multiple tasks simultaneously.

Job Requirements:


  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Working knowledge of Excel or other spreadsheet software.
  • Willingness to learn.


  • Associate‚Äôs degree, preferably in Computer Sciences, Marketing, or related field.
  • Experience with call center CATI system technology.
  • Experience with online data collection tools.
  • Experience with Qualtrics online survey platform.
