Anthology Digital earns national awards for Hawaii, Washington clients

May 27, 2014

HONOLULU: Reflecting its diversity of expertise and clients served, Anthology Digital has earned eight awards this month from two national organizations that annually recognize industry-leading design excellence in marketing and communication.

Anthology Digital earned four honors each from the Communicator Awards and Hermes Creative Awards for work performed on behalf of Bank of Hawaii, Hawaiian Telcom, and Mauna Kea Beach Hotel, as well as TRP Parts, a subsidiary of PACCAR, a Fortune Top 200 company based in Washington state that manufactures Kenworth and Peterbilt trucks.

“A common denominator of these award-winning projects is that they combined eye-catching creativity with ease of functionality for use by customers,” said Mary Fastenau, President of Anthology Digital. “I’m very proud of how our digital team came through with solutions to meet the marketing challenges posed by three of Hawaii’s biggest brand names and one of the nation’s largest companies in PACCAR.”

Anthology’s four Communicator Awards included two Excellence Awards, the highest honor, for a Bank of Hawaii holiday e-card and TRP Parts website design, and two Awards of Distinction for the Hawaiian Telcom residential website and a microsite for Mauna Kea Beach Hotel. Bank of Hawaii’s holiday e-card featured original illustration and animation provided by Anthology and was optimized for desktop, tablet, and mobile devices. Anthology’s work for TRP Parts included creating a new and easily navigable website that allowed customers to search for up to 10,000 parts for use in commercial trucks, trailers and buses.

Anthology’s four Hermes Creative Awards were earned for TRP Parts, including two Gold Awards, the highest honor, for development of the new business website and also for the website design elements. Two Honorable Mention Awards were presented for Anthology’s development of a mobile website design and mobile information experience.

Started two decades ago, the Communicator Awards is a leading international awards program recognizing big ideas in marketing and communications. More than 6,000 entries are received from companies and agencies of all sizes, making it one of the largest awards of its kind in the world.

The Hermes Creative Awards are presented by The Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals. Awards are chosen from 5,500 international entries submitted by creative professionals involved in the concept, writing and design of traditional materials and programs, and emerging technology.
